Looking to score some useful loot for your character in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds while playing a match? As it turns out, some areas of the map have been identified as hot spots for loot spawns. One player went out of his way to use data reflecting loot spawn chances to make a map to help other players out. Today, we’re going to take a look at the PUBG loot map he created.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Loot Map
If you’re new to the game or just haven’t picked up on this yet – there are actually places around the map in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds where useful items such as med kits, painkillers, combat gear, and weapons spawn for players to pick up and use in every match.
While loot can technically spawn just about anywhere on the playing field, it has been found to be far more common in specific regions.
One player, who goes by the name of ShatterNL, went out of his way to create a legend on the game map that shows people where they’re most likely to find item drops, vehicle spawns, and more. The map is color coded to make identifying high-loot regions a snap.

What Loot to Expect
So, once you actually find these drops – what can you expect to get from them? Well, it’s pretty randomized, but the contents of the loot drops usually consist of items, weapons, gear, and attachments.
This means you can score healing consumables such as Med Kits, Bandages, and Adrenaline Syringes among other items. These are helpful for restoring lost health after engaging in firefights with other players.
You can also find armor and other pieces of player gear, including ghillie suits, backpacks, helmets, and vests.
The most common weapons you’re likely to find in air drops are:
- Tommy Gun
- VSS Vintorez
- OTs-14 Groza
This isn’t necessarily an exhaustive list – it’s just what most players have stated they tend to find in loot drops when it comes to weaponry.
You can also find a number of different weapon attachments, but most often it’ll just be a scope of some sort.

Tips and Tricks
When you do happen to find an air drop in one of the locations listed in the PUBG loot map above, there are a few things you’ll want to know before just running up to it and attempting to rummage through it for goods.
First and foremost – approach any loot drops you find with extreme caution. More often than not there will be other players keeping a keep eye on the loot spawn as a means of trapping enemy players into a quick and easy death.

So, although you may be overrun with excitement and want to run straight up to the crate to find out what’s inside – be sure to take it slow and really scan the surrounding area well. The last thing you want to do is exposure yourself to a volley of bullets the second you go to open the loot box.
Next – as the above alludes to it’s also possible for you to utilize loot drops as a trap yourself. If you find one in an area that typically receives a good amount of foot traffic you may want to hold off on opening it, find a well-hidden spot to camp in, and wait for unsuspecting opponents to approach it to dispatch of them quickly and easily.
It’s a common tactic and it works quite well so long as you keep yourself out of sight. Use the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds loot map provided above to determine where players are mostly likely to be looking for loot drops.
